Ingredients

  • 2 slices toast bread
  • 1 egg
  • 60 ml milk
  • 15 g sugar (or honey)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 80 g frozen cherries (or fresh)
  • Edible flowers (optional)
  • Butter or oil (for greasing)
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish and place the bread slices inside.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread and let it soak for 5–7 minutes.

 

Step 3

Add the frozen cherries on top.

Preheat the oven to 175°C and bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden and set.

Step 4

Let cool slightly, then decorate with edible flowers and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
