The blend of rich espresso, creamy milk, pumpkin puree, and spices creates a comforting and invigorating beverage that embodies the spirit of fall.

Ingredients

  • 300 ml plant-based milk
  • 50-100 ml espresso
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • a pinch of cloves
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • a pinch of ginger
  • a pinch of cardamom
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Whipped cream for topping

 

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1

    In a saucepan, heat the plant-based milk over medium heat until it’s hot but not boiling.

    Add the espresso to the milk and stir well.

    If you don’t have espresso on hand, you can use one of these coffee alternatives:

    Strong brewed coffee: Brew a strong cup of your favorite coffee.

    Instant coffee: Dissolve 1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee in hot water.

    French press coffee: Use your French press to make a concentrated coffee by using a higher coffee-to-water ratio.

     

    Step 2

    Stir in the pumpkin puree, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.

    Step 3

    Add the maple syrup and continue to stir until the mixture is smooth and heated through.

    Step 4

    Remove from heat and pour the latte into a mug.

    Step 5

    Top the latte with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

    Step 6

    Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top for an extra burst of flavor.
