Shaped into beautiful rosettes, these pastries are perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a cozy tea time or an elegant dessert.🌹

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • Apricot jam
  • 1-2 apples (sliced into thin rounds)

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).

Unroll the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Spread an even layer of apricot jam over the entire sheet of puff pastry.

Core the apples and split them in half. Slice each half into thin half-moon shapes.

    Tip:

Ensure the apple slices are very thin to make rolling easier and to ensure they cook properly.

    Step 2

Decide on the size of your rosettes:

For larger rosettes, cut the puff pastry into strips along the longer side.

For smaller rosettes, cut the puff pastry into strips along the shorter side.

Place the apple slices along one long edge of each puff pastry strip, slightly overlapping each slice. Fold the other long edge of the puff pastry strip over the bottom half of the apple slices.

    Step 3

Starting from one end, roll the puff pastry strip all the way to the other end, forming a rose shape.

Lightly oil a muffin tin or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place each rolled puff pastry apple rosette into a muffin cup or on the parchment paper.

    Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Allow the rosettes to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
