It’s a satisfying and portable meal that you can enjoy any time of the day.

🌯🥪🥗

Ingredients

  • large flat wrap (whole grain or your preferred type)
  • Tomato-Walnut Pesto (you find the recipe here)
  • Few cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • Thinly sliced cucumber
  • Fresh sprouts (alfalfa, radish, or any preferred kind)
  • Feta cheese, crumbled
  • Grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any meltable cheese of your choice)
  • Olive oil (for pan-frying)

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1

Make the Tomato-Walnut Pesto according to the recipe provided in the previous post.

Lay the flat wrap on a clean surface. On one half of the wrap, spread a generous layer of the Tomato-Walnut Pesto, leaving a small border around the edges.

    Step 2

Arrange a few sliced cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced cucumber, fresh sprouts, crumbled feta cheese, and grated cheese on top of the Tomato-Walnut Pesto.

Carefully fold the upper half of the wrap over the ingredients, creating a half-moon shape. Press down gently to secure the filling.

    Step 3

In a non-stick pan, add a little olive oil and heat it over medium heat. Place the folded flat wrap sandwich in the pan and cook for a few minutes on each side until the wrap becomes golden and crispy, and the cheese inside melts to a creamy consistency.

You can use a spatula to press the sandwich slightly to help the cheese melt faster.

    Step 4

Once the flat wrap sandwich is grilled to perfection, remove it from the pan and let it cool for a moment. Slice it in half if desired, and serve the delicious, warm sandwich immediately.
