Ingredients

  • 1 kg apples
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml apple juice
  • 50 g granulated sugar

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1

Weigh 1 kg of apples, wash them, and peel them.

Cut the peeled apples into small, bite-sized pieces, removing the cores.

    Step 2

In a large pot, add the chopped apples, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, 250 ml of apple juice, and 50 g of granulated sugar.

    Step 3

Place the pot on the stove over medium heat.

Stir the mixture to combine the ingredients.

Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

    Step 4

Once it’s boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.

Continue stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

    Step 5

While the compote is still hot, carefully ladle it into sterilized glass jars.

Seal the jars immediately while the compote is still hot to ensure a proper seal.

    Step 6

To extend the shelf life, turn the sealed jars upside down for a few minutes to create a vacuum seal.

Store the sealed jars in a cool, dark place.

This Apple Compote can be stored for several months, allowing you to savor the flavors of autumn all year round.
