Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Start with the walnuts. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Spread the walnuts on a baking tray in a single layer and roast them for 5-8 minutes, checking frequently to prevent burning. Let them cool completely.
Step 2
Prepare the lemons by thoroughly washing and drying them. Slice the lemons into thin rounds, removing any seeds.
Step 3
For the walnuts in honey, transfer the cooled roasted walnuts to a sterilized glass jar. Pour honey over the walnuts until they are fully submerged, leaving a small gap at the top. Seal the jar tightly.
Step 4
For the lemons in honey, layer the lemon slices in another sterilized glass jar. Pour honey over the slices, pressing down gently to release air bubbles. Seal the jar tightly and store both jars—walnuts in a cool, dark place, and lemons in the refrigerator.
Both are ready to enjoy after infusing: the walnuts in 1 week and the lemons in 3-5 days.
