Ingredients

  • 200g rolled oats
  • 125g peanut butter
  • 100g honey or maple syrup
  • 100g chopped nuts
  • Handful of dried fruits (as desired)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Water (as needed for desired consistency, approximately 100ml)

      Step by Step Instructions

      Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease or line a baking dish (approximately 20×20 cm or similar size) with parchment paper, or prepare silicone molds for individual bars.

      Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey/maple syrup, chopped nuts, dried fruits, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together very well until thoroughly combined.

Gradually add water to the mixture while stirring continuously until you reach your desired consistency. The mixture should be sticky and hold together well, but not too dry or too wet.

      Step 3

If using silicone molds, fill each mold cavity with the oat mixture, pressing down firmly to compact the mixture. If using a baking dish, transfer the mixture into the prepared dish and press it firmly and evenly into the dish.

      Step 4

Place the filled molds or baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

      Step 5

Allow the oat bars to cool completely in the molds or baking dish. Once cooled, carefully remove the bars from the silicone molds or cut the bars into squares if using a baking dish.

Store the oat bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, you can refrigerate them for up to two weeks or freeze them for up to three months.
